Exhibition news – Franconian Art Prize

“There’s No Such Thing as a Happy Ending”

Earlier this year I submitted some of my artwork to be considered for exhibition the Fränkische Kunstpreis 2012 (the Franconian Art Price 2012) arranged by the artist’s organisation BUN(D)T Fränkische Künstler. To my absolute delight, one of my pieces was selected by the jury and is now part of the exhibition.

Here am I and the sign! This is my first exhibition in the German art scene, so yes, I’m very proud!

The exhibition opened in Burg Plassenburg, Kulmbach a week ago, I was there at the opening with my husband Adam and friend Heidi, and I must say I am very proud to be part of such a wonderful selection of high quality art! The exhibition is open for the public until September 8, 2012, so if you happen to be in the vicinity of Kulmbach don’t miss it.

There were plenty of people at the opening, and we were served German Sekt and “Brezen”, very tasty.

And here’s Adam and a stranger admiring my picture! I was flattered that the exhibition designers chose to feature my work by presenting it in an illuminated glass cabinet.

I found an old vintage gold frame for my work, I really like how it compliments my picture.
