Construction diary – 8th to 10th century Frankish earrings

I came across this gorgeous pair of earrings dated somewhere between 800 and 1000 AD, and since they are made from silver wire and silver sheet metal and made with wirework technique, I’m going to try to make a replica pair looking as close as I can to the originals. Today I will only post the photo, but very soon I will post more about my progress here in the blog. The earrings are in the museum at Burg Plassenburg in the town of Kulmbach.
